Twisted Logic: Abbotsfield (2024) [PC]

Twisted Logic: Abbotsfield available on Steam.

In Twisted Logic: Abbotsfield, your task is to solve intricate logic puzzles - both in reality and in-game - in order to exorcise the demonic force from a haunted house. I created a suspenseful soundtrack to accompany the phychological horror theme and atmospheric setting. Below is the track used in the opening cinematic.

Super Polygon Grand Prix (2024) [PC]

Super Polygon Grand Prix available on Steam.

Super Polygon Grand Prix is a game that’s a love letter to arcade racing titles of the 90s/00s. It features multiple courses and modes that evokes the look and feel of old school retro video game racing. The soundtrack was heavily inspired by that era, making use of a sample based electronic / synthesizer pallete to create a high energy, arcade-like sound.

Rockets Are Super Hard: Relaunch (2024) [PC]

Rockets Are Super Hard available on Steam.

In Rockets Are Super Hard (2020, remastered in 2024), “Armed with nothing but a guide book, you and your teammates must collaborate and tackle intricate puzzles to launch rockets in this exhilaratingly stressful co-operative game. Not for the faint of heart, teamwork and communication are your keys to success!”.

The soundtrack was comprised of track segments that are constructed in a dynamic horizontal manner depending on what is occurring in the in-game missions. The style was a blend of orchestral and electronic instrumentation with a central ‘arcade-but-serious’ feel tying the tracks together. Below is an such example.

Orbitect (2023) [PC]

Orbitect available on Steam.

“Space debris is out of control! Craft a station to take out the trash in this unique construction roguelite mashup.”

The soundtrack for Orbitect is predominantly arcade-style electronic, infused with orchestral elements. The percussion layers of a given track are dynamic depending on whether the player is in build mode or view mode, to accompany the pace of gameplay. Below is the gameplay track from the planet Cadmus.

Close Contact available on Steam.

Close Contact is a “short, narrative-driven, sci-fi horror game where you must navigate an advanced underground base whilst avoiding the alien creature that stalks you

I created an ambient, cinematically inspired soundtrack to suit the tense, suspensful aesthetic and science fiction setting. Below is a piece from the soundtrack played during player exploration of an underground laboratory in a remote location away from Earth.

The Mars Agenda available on Steam.

The Mars Agenda is a “first-person puzzle game where a lone astronaut with nothing but a guide book must complete various missions on Mars to get the planet ready for future habitation.

The soundtrack for this game comprises two seperate, but related albums which play tracks depending on the day-night cycle in-game; either a series of lo-fi electronic pieces with science-history based documentary vocal samples (during the day), or melodic piano versions of those tracks (at night). Below is a piece from the soundtrack (a day-cycle on the Martian surface).

OAOA - Off And On Again (2021) [PC / Nintendo Switch / XB1 / PS4]

ss_f53e688a61d222d469ad43d795925388e09d353b.1920x1080.jpg

Off And On Again available on Steam.

OAOA (Off and On Again) is a retro style platformer game. “OAOA tells the story of a hero tasked with rebooting time. The game world is created and destroyed during play, with the hero having the ability to turn parts of the world off and on again. You will be required to use both brains and skill to overcome the enemies and obstacles in your path.”

I created a soundtrack for OAOA that explored a whole range of retro-inspired styles in the chiptune, electronic, and ambient genres. The below gameplay track is one such piece.

Cloudbase Prime (2017) [PC, Nintendo Switch]

ss_dfa698c14ecceabf1c77272c84d9f2ba1fabf0a8.1920x1080.jpg

Cloudbase Prime available on Steam.

Cloudbase Prime is a first-person puzzle platformer game. “You are lost in the depths of a gas giant mining station where things have gone very, very wrong. Move terrain to clear paths, launch enemies, and fling yourself skyward. Get ready to shoot a lot of robots and jump into the colorful clouds of Cloudbase Prime!”

I created an action oriented soundtrack for Cloudbase Prime that was a blend of chiptune and orchestral inspirations to complement the look, feel and style of the game. Below is an example of a stage involving jumping to (and falling from) high distances.
